People who begin their fitness journey usually have a physical goal they want to achieve. It’s usually something like “I want to drop x amount of weight or drop a dress size.
Having a goal is good especially when it’s measurable. The issue with this is most people put so much focus and motivation on just the scales or the dress size.
No matter how “perfect” your plan is, you’ll never have complete control over how quickly (or slowly) your body changes. Unrealistic expectations are what causes most people to fail. People tend to be discouraged and lose motivation because the results they see don’t match the effort they feel they’re putting in.
Which is why, if you want to be successful, you need to change your focus to what you can control.
